Texas partners with D-backs on final vote

The Texas Rangers aren't taking any chances when it comes trying to get Yu Darvish into the All-Star Game through the final vote. The club announced today that it has partnered with the Arizona Diamondbacks with the hopes that D-backs fans will vote for Darvish, along with second baseman Aaron Hill, and that Rangers fans will do the same.

The Rangers are encouraging fans on Twitter to use the hashtags #VoteYu and #FinHillVote when tweeting. Fans can visit MLB.com/vote and vote as often as possible, as there is no limit to the number of times that fans may vote in the All-Star Game Firestone Final Vote. You can also text A2 to 89269 to cast a vote for Darvish. Standard rate messaging and data fees may apply. Mobile voting in Canada also is available and fans should text A2 to 101010 to vote for Darvish.

To encourage fans to vote for Darvish on-line, the Rangers are offering an All-Star sweepstakes prize of a suite for 20 for one select Sunday Rangers game in 2012. Fans will be automatically registered for the sweepstakes each of the first 25 times they vote for Darvish in the 2012 All-Star Game MLB.com Final Vote sponsored by Firestone at texasrangers.com. However, fans will be registered to win for the sweepstakes just the first 25 times they vote for Darvish. All rules for the sweepstakes can be found on texasrangers.com.

Balloting concludes at 3 p.m. CT Thursday, and the winners will be announced soon after.
