ARLINGTON, Texas -- Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton does not believe the lower back spasms that forced him to leave Friday night's game in the fifth inning will keep him from playing in Tuesday's All-Star Game in Kansas City, Mo.

Hamilton is day-to-day.

"I'm not really as worried about the All-Star Game as I am worried about playing (Saturday) or the next day," he said. "I'll come in (Saturday), wake up and see how I feel and reassess everything and hopefully play (Saturday)."

Hamilton said he felt his lower back grab on him as he broke toward a deep fly ball in the top of the fifth inning against the Minnesota Twins. He got turned around and ended up dropping the ball after it hit his glove. He was charged with an error.
