The second game of the three-game series at Fenway Park features RHP Ryan Dempster vs. LHP Jon Lester. The game starts at 6:10 p.m. on ESPN Dallas 103.3 FM and FSSW. We will be chatting during the game. Here's a look at the matchup:

Dempster (5-5, 2.82 ERA): This will be Dempster's second start in a Rangers uniform and he's hoping for a better showing after allowing eight runs on nine hits in 4 2/3 innings yet still getting a no-decision in the Rangers' 15-9 victory last Thursday over the Los Angeles Angels. ... The 35-year-old had allowed just seven runs combined in seven starts in June and July with the Cubs. ... He's 2-1 with a 5.11 ERA in five games (four starts) against the Red Sox in his career. ... Dempster pitched in interleague play at Wrigley Field against the Red Sox and threw seven shutout innings on five hits with two walks and three strikeouts in the victory.

Lester (5-9, 5.36 ERA): He's coming off his first quality start since July 3, after allowing three runs on seven hits in eight innings in a loss to the Minnesota Twins on Aug. 2. ... In his four previous starts prior to Aug. 2, Lester was 0-3 with a 12.27 ERA and didn't pitch more than 4 1/3 innings in three of them. ... His only start vs. Texas this season was a short one, thanks to all kinds of struggles. He gave up seven runs on eight hits with four walks and two strikeouts in just two innings as the Rangers won going away in Boston. ... He's 3-2 with a 4.47 ERA in nine starts (56 1/3 innings) against Texas in his career.

Hitters: Nelson Cruz is 8-for-14 (.571) against Lester in his career. And he's not the only Ranger will success off him: Mike Napoli is 6-for-10 (2 HRs, 5 RBIs), Adrian Beltre is 6-fotr-16 (.375) and Elvis Andrus is 5-for-16. ... Ian Kinsler is hitting .200 (4-for-20) off Lester, but two of those hits are homers. ... Adrian Gonzalez is 2-for-17 off Dempster and Cody Ross is 2-for-15. ... Mike Aviles is 2-for-3.
