NEW YORK -- The Texas Rangers and New York Yankees are back at it for the second game of their four-game series tonight at 6:05 p.m. in the Bronx on ESPN Dallas 103.3 FM, FSSW and MLB Network. The pitching matchup features LHP Matt Harrison vs. RHP Hiroki Kuroda. Here’s a look:

Harrison (13-6, 3.31 ERA): The 26-year-old left-hander is 1-2 with a 5.55 ERA (15 ER/24.1 IP) in his last four starts since twirling a complete-game shutout on July 15 in Seattle. ... During that span, his ERA has ballooned from 2.87 to 3.31, still the ninth-lowest in the American League. He is 9-3 with a 2.45 ERA (26 ER/95.1 IP) in his last 14 starts. ... He will be working on an extended five days rest after registering a no-decision in his last start Wednesday afternoon in Boston (4.2 IP, 8 H, 5 R, 3 BB, 3 SO). ... It was his second-shortest outing of the season. ... Ranks among the AL leaders in wins (T-4th), ERA, CG (T-3rd, 3) and winning percentage (sixth, .684). ... Is 9-3 with a 3.24 ERA on the road. ... Would become the first Texas lefty to ever record 10 road victories in a season with a win tonight.

Kuroda (10-8, 3.24 ERA): Kuroda, who has been extremely reliable in his first year in pinstripes, will make his 24th start of the season Tuesday night. ... He has only faced Texas only twice in his career, going 0-2 with a 4.50. ERA. Pitched 6.2 innings against the Rangers on April 24, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks in a 2-0 loss. ... Since May 27, he has won seven of his last nine decisions while lowering his ERA from 4.56 to 3.24 during that span. ... In his first nine starts, he went 3-6 with a 4.56 ERA.

Hitters: There isn’t much of a sample size for the Rangers against Kuroda, though Ian Kinsler is 2-for-5 with a homer against the 37-year-old Japanese righty. ... Adrian Beltre is 2-for-9 vs. Kuroda, while Nelson Cruz and Michael Young are 1-for-6. ... Alex Rodriguez is New York’s best hitter against Harrison (.417, five RBIs), but he’s on the DL. ... Nick Swisher and Jayson Nix both own a .400 batting average vs. the lefty. ... Mark Teixeira has just one hit in 10 at-bats off Harrison, but Curtis Granderson (.333) has two homers in 12 at-bats. ... Ichiro Suzuki has the biggest sample size (10-for-41).
