ARLINGTON, Texas -- Michael Young is taking paternity leave and can miss up to the next 72 hours, leaving the Texas Rangers to fill a spot on the 25-man roster. It won't be shortstop sensation Jurickson Profar, who will remain with Double-A Frisco.
Luis Hernandez, second baseman for Triple-A Round Rock, gets the call-up. He's batting. 262 with eight home runs and 66 RBIs.
Lineups for tonight's game against the Minnesota Twins will be released shortly.
Young and his wife, Christina, welcomed new son Antonio Barbosa to the family at about 9 p.m. Thursday. Antonio is the couples' third son.
