ARLINGTON, Texas -- Texas Rangers infielder Mike Olt said the plantar fasciitis in his right heel is still bothering him, but not enough to keep him out of the lineup. Manager Ron Washington said that he expects Olt to be in Monday's game with left-handed ace David Price on the mound for Tampa Bay.

Olt said his heel started bothering him about 10 days ago.

"It was pretty bad at first, but it's been better the last couple of days," Olt said. "I can play. We just tried to give it a little rest."

Olt has inserts in his shoes and is stretching and icing the heel repeatedly in an effort to calm things down. Olt is 4-for-22 with no homers and four RBIs in 11 games still getting called up on Aug. 1.

Other notes:

* Washington has tried to get Elvis Andrus a full day off for a few weeks now and hasn't had much luck. Andrus didn't start in Toronto but came in for defensive purposes because the game was close. He was scheduled to be the DH on Thursday, but with Michael Young's wife set to go into labor at any minute, Andrus went to shortstop an hour before the game. So today -- the shortstop's 24th birthday -- Washington hopes he won't need Andrus at all.

In his place, Luis Hernandez gets a shot at shortstop and will bat ninth.

"Possibly he'll be here, possibly he won't," Washington said. "This is more about Elvis than anything. I wanted him to get a day."

Washington was referring to September when rosters expand, saying Hernandez could be a a part of that.

* Yu Darvish threw a bullpen session Sunday and said he "felt good" and is ready for his Tuesday start as expected.
