Harrison (15-9, 3.37 ERA): The 26-year-old lefty got a few extra days off just to get some rest. So Roy Oswalt started for him Sunday, buying him some time. ... He gave up five runs (three earned) on eight hits in 4 2/3 innings and could not hold a 2-0 lead after the second inning. ... It matched his second-shortest start of the season (also 4 2/3 innings at Boston on Aug. 8). ... Left-handed batters were 3-for-5 with a double and a homer in that start vs. KC (they were just 1-for-21 off Harrison in the previous four starts). ... Harrison is 1-2 with a 5.17 ERA in three starts in his career against Cleveland. He has not faced them in 2012. ... He has eight starts of eight or more innings, tied for fourth in the big leagues behind Justin Verlander (14), Felix Hernandez (11), and Clayton Kershaw (nine).

Jimenez (9-15, 5.58 ERA): Has just one quality start in his last eight outings and has pitched more than six innings just once in that span. ... His last start was Sept. 5 against the Tigers, and Jimenez allowed four runs on six hits in 7 1/3 innings in a 7-1 loss. ... He has one win in his last 11 outings and the Indians have won just two times when he's been on the mound the last 11 times. ... Jimenez faced Texas twice this year, most recently on Aug. 31 in Cleveland. He gave up four runs on eight hits in 5 2/3 innings in a 5-3 loss. ... He also pitched vs. Texas in May and threw seven shutout innings with two hits despite five walks (and six strikeouts).

Hitters: Brent Lillibridge has the most at-bats off Harrison of anyone in the Indians' lineup with 10, and he has three hits. ... Carlos Santana is 2-for-3 with a homer. ... Shin-Soo Choo is 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs. ... Several Rangers have had success off Jimenez. David Murphy is 3-for-6, Ian Kinsler is 3-for-8 with two doubles and Adrian Beltre is 4-for-9 with two doubles and three RBIs.
