ARLINGTON, Texas -- It's Friday and that means a weekly look at who is trending up and who's struggling for the Texas Rangers. A look:

STOCK UP

Streaking
Rotation: Going into Thursday's game, the club's starters had issued three earned runs or fewer nine times in the last 10 games and posted a 3.36 ERA in that span with opponents hitting .218 against them. The rotation's ERA was 4.17 before Thursday, the lowest since Aug. 1. The four pitchers likely to front the playoff roster have pitched well of late, getting things going at the right time.

Adrian Beltre: Not only does he continue to put up ridiculous offensive numbers and make highlight-reel plays, but he has the persuasive skills of a top-flight trial lawyer. He was able to get manager Ron Washington to put him back in the lineup Thursday despite getting an MRI the night before that showed inflammation in his shoulder. Beltre is a critical component in the middle of the lineup.

Fans: The Rangers drew more than 3 million fans, crossing the barrier Thursday night. They've had 32 sellouts so far this season and Rangers Ballpark in Arlington has become a real home-field advantage for the Rangers.

STOCK DOWN

Slumping
Roy Oswalt: He has a right forearm strain and had a throwing session Thursday in which he experienced some discomfort. He'll be re-evaluated in a few days. He pitched just two innings Sunday and was taken out because of the injury. He allowed four runs on six hits in that loss to Tampa Bay.

Injury bug: It was a week that involved some injuries. That includes setup man Mike Adams, who felt tightness in a muscle in the back of his shoulder and hasn't thrown the past few days. Mike Olt is dealing with plantar fasciitis and will be out a minimum of 10 to 14 days.
