Ten of No. 10 Michael Young's top moments
Kyle Terada/US PresswireMichael Young and Neftali Feliz celebrate the Rangers' AL West-clinching win over the A's in 2010.1: Young is mobbed after the final out of the AL West-clinching game in Oakland in September 2010. The team rushed over to Young knowing how much it meant to him to finally make the postseason. When he made his start in Game 1 of the ALDS, he had played in the second-most regular-season games without a playoff appearance (1,508) of active players at the time.
2: He won the AL batting title in 2005, hitting .331 in 668 at-bats (159 games). It was his third of five consecutive seasons with at least 200 hits.
3: Broke the all-time hits mark in franchise history in June 2010, hitting a two-run single up the middle to help the Rangers beat the Marlins. The hit passed Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez.
4: Drove in five runs in the ALCS Game 6 in 2011, helping send the Rangers to the World Series. He hit a pair of two-run doubles in a nine-run third inning of that clincher over Detroit, becoming just the fourth player with multiple extra-base hits in a playoff inning.

He hit a sacrifice fly in the 15th inning in the 2008 All-Star Game, ending the longest game in All-Star history. He's also the only player in All-Star history with two game-winning hits in his team's final at-bat.
7: Won a Gold Glove at shortstop for his play in 2008. He moved to third base that offseason.

10: Hit a three-run homer in the fifth inning of ALDS Game 2 at Tampa Bay that altered the game in 2010. It came after a check swing as ruled “no swing,” a call the Rays argued.
