SURPRISE, Ariz. -- The first Texas Rangers baseball game of the 2013 season is today. Sure, it's just an intrasquad game that likely won't last more than six full innings, but there will be umpires and it's going to be played like a regular game. So baseball is really here.

Lance Berkman and Adrian Beltre aren't expected to play. The club wants to take things easy on both of them with Berkman still strengthening his knees and Beltre dealing with some mild right calf inflammation. If it was a regular season game, both would play.
