"I never would do that," Hamilton said after Sunday night's game. "Ever. I never would flip anybody off."

Hamilton was tormented the entire series by Texas Rangers fans, who started booing during pregame introductions Friday and had chants of "baseball town" all weekend in reference to a comment he made during spring training about Dallas/Fort Worth being a football town.

He admitted after Friday's game to being upset about the booing. On Sunday, he reacted to the crowd, turning and clapping in his glove during one of the chants from Rangers' fans.

Hamilton went hitless in his first nine at-bats in three-game series. He did collect three straight hits Sunday, but grounded out to shortstop to end the game to the delight of the 42,034 Rangers' fans in attendance.
