ARLINGTON, Texas -- It's always an event when Red Sox Nation invades Texas and Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. Just like when the Yankees are here, there's a playoff feel for every game with thousands of Boston fans in the stands to go with a growing baseball following with the Rangers.

PODCAST
Former Rangers catcher Mike Napoli joins Fitzsimmons & Durrett to talk about his return to Arlington, what it's like being a member of the Boston Red Sox and his fondest moments in a Rangers uniform.

Here's what to expect with the latest installment of Beantown vs. Baseball Town this weekend:

Lopsided of late: The Rangers have beaten up on the Red Sox since the start of the 2009 season, going 25-12 against Boston. The Rangers are 13-5 in Arlington, winning five of the six series.

Papi dialed in: David "Big Papi" Ortiz is one a tear since delivering his speech -- expletive included -- in the first game at Fenway Park after the Boston Marathon bombings. Actually, Ortiz was hot going back to last season. He has hit in all 10 games he's played in this season and rides a 22-game hitting streak dating back to July 2, 2012, the longest active streak in the Majors. He has three home runs and 15 RBIs this season.

Lackey's bounce back: Texas native John Lackey is one of the comeback stories of the season. Lackey, who pitched in college at UT-Arlington, is 1-1 with a 2.61 ERA. He'll start Saturday's game against Alexi Ogando.

Road warriors: The Red Sox are 9-3 on the road, the best record in baseball, after Thursday's 3-2 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. Red Sox pitchers have a American League-leading 3.17 road ERA. Boston leads the Majors with a .287 batting average and a .480 slugging percentage.

Dominating in series: The Red Sox have won 7 of 9 series after taking two of three games at Toronto. The Rangers are 5-1-3 in series after losing one for the first time this week to the Chicago White Sox.
