HOUSTON -- Texas Rangers right-hander Colby Lewis has soreness in his right triceps and might not make his next rehab start on May 14. He played catch on Saturday at extended spring training in Arizona but didn't throw a bullpen.

Lewis, who is coming back from surgery last July to repair a torn flexor tendon in his right elbow, said he's not concerned. Rangers general manager Jon Daniels and manager Ron Washington aren't either.

"It's spring training for him," Washington said.

Added Daniels: "It's not too dissimilar from what we see with a lot of guys in spring training. My hope is that's all this is. We'll see."

Lewis made his first rehab start on Thursday, throwing 41 pitches, going two innings and allowing three runs for Triple-A Round Rock at Las Vegas.

Lewis is supposed to throw 55-60 pitches on Tuesday for Round Rock at Tucson.
