Ogando (3-2, 3.09 ERA): After starting the season 2-0, Ogando has one win in his past six starts, in large part because of a lack of run support. His 2.89 run support average is the lowest in the American League. … Ogando is 1-1 with a 2.92 ERA over his past four outings, including three quality stats. … He received a no-decision Friday at Houston against the Astros, allowing two runs on five hits over 5⅔ innings in a 4-2 Rangers victory. … Ogando struggled with his command against Houston. He gave up five runs (three earned) and six hits over five innings of an 8-7 Rangers loss at Arlington. … Ogando struck out 10 in his season debut against Houston but has had five or fewer strikeouts in six straight outings.

Straily (1-1, 7.06 ERA): Straily will make his second straight start in place of injured left-hander Brett Anderson, who's on the disabled list with a sprained right ankle. … Straily is coming off a rough outing Friday night against the Mariners in Seattle. He allowed six runs on six hits over five innings, taking the loss. He struck out four but also walked four, struggling with his command. … Straily had a no-decision in his only career start against Texas, last Sept. 24 at Rangers Ballpark. He allowed five hits, one home run and one earned run over 6⅔ innings, striking out eight and walking two in a 5-4 Rangers win. … Last season, before being called up by the A's, Straily struck out a combined 190 batters at Double-A Midland and Triple-A Sacramento, the most of any minor league pitcher. ... Straily has been hurt by the long ball in the major leagues. In 2012 he allowed 11 home runs in just 39.1 innings. This season, he has allowed three home runs in 21⅔ innings. … Straily has allowed a .206 batting average against the first time through the lineup, but that average jumps to .242 the second time through and .389 the third.
