ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Rangers and Oakland finish off a four-game series Thursday afternoon when right-hander Josh Lindblom faces right-hander A.J. Griffin at 1:05 p.m. on Fox Sports Southwest and ESPN Dallas 103.3 FM (1540 AM in Spanish).
Lindblom (0-2, 5.94): Lindblom is still looking for his first win as a starting pitcher after dropping his second game Saturday against Toronto. He allowed four runs in six innings to the Blue Jays, giving up a pair of two-run home runs. ... Lindblom becomes the sixth starter to make three starts for the Rangers this season. ... He'll be making his second start of the season against Oakland after losing to the A's 9-2 on May 20. ... Lindblom allowed four runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings.
Griffin (5-6, 3.93): Griffin is 0-3 with a 4.15 ERA and a .229 opponents batting average in his last four starts. ... Griffin's losing streak is a career high. He was the losing pitcher in a 4-0 loss to Seattle on Saturday where he allowed four earned runs in six innings. It was Griffin's first loss against an American League West opponent. ... Griffin is 4-1 with a 3.26 ERA in five starts against the AL West this season after going 1-5 against the division in 2012. ... He is 1-0 with a 2.87 ERA in three career starts against the Rangers. He beat Texas 5-1 on May 13, allowing one run in seven innings.
