ARLINGTON, Texas -- It's Friday, so let's take a look at who's trending up and who's trending down in Texas.

STOCK UP

Streaking
Leonys Martin: He had a seven-game hitting streak snapped Wednesday night against Milwaukee, but Martin still made an impact. He threw out two baserunners at third base to keep the Rangers in the game. Martin has 10 outfield assists which ties him for the American League lead. He has five assists in the Rangers last seven games. He has a slash of .361/.375/.736 in his last eight games with two doubles and five RBIs.

Tanner Scheppers: Scheppers is back in form. He was filthy in his one inning of work Wednesday against Milwaukee, striking out two of the three batters he faced to keep the Rangers ahead 5-4 in the eighth inning. He has allowed one earned run in his last 11 innings.

Rotation: Texas starters have permitted four runs or less in 18 straight games beginning July 27. That is giving ther club a chance to win every game. It's their longest such stretch since Sept. 1993. Rangers starters have a 3.12 ERA during this run.

STOCK DOWN

Slumping
Matt Garza: The Rangers have won 14 of 16 games, so there's not much down these days. Matt Garza has allowed four earned runs in three consecutive starts. Still, the Rangers are 4-1 for his starts since they traded for him July 22, so overall, very little is down about Garza or his new ballclub.

Alexi Ogando: He could be headed to the disabled list for the third time this season Friday depending on the CT scan he had done on his sore right shoulder Wednesday. Ogando has made only 15 starts as he's never really been right -- health wise -- all season.
