The Rangers and Houston Astros will play two exhibition games at the Alamodome in San Antonio on Friday, March 28, and Saturday, March 29 as part of a two-year extension of the city's Big League Weekend.

Last year's pair of games between the Rangers and San Diego Padres drew over 75,000 fans. The event is put on by Ryan-Sanders Baseball, whose managing partner, Nolan Ryan, recently resigned as the Rangers' CEO.

“The Rangers are very happy to be returning to San Antonio and Big League Weekend in 2014,” said Rangers GM and president of baseball operations Jon Daniels. “Ryan-Sanders Baseball put on a first-class event in 2013 and did an amazing job in converting the Alamodome into a major league baseball facility."

Last year's baseball event was the first in the 20-year history of the Alamodome.
