SandyMc (Dallas): Who will be on the bench for the Rangers? With so many players to choose from, it looks as though some tough decisions will have to be made.
Durrett: Before spring began, that was a the tough spot. We know there's a catcher on the bench. And with the way Michael Choice has played this spring, how do you not give him a shot now? As for the utility infield spot, Brent Lillibridge has been a surprise in camp. The question is how important it is that Adam Rosales plays third base. And in light of hamstring issues for Adrian Beltre (something that tends to happen every spring training to Beltre), that's important. I'll stick with Engel Beltre to make it too, based on the fact that I don't think this club wants to give up on him and he's out of options.
Scott (Dallas): Watching some spring training games at home I have noticed that Nefti has a different throwing motion and his velocity is down to about 92-94mph. Is this normal after these surgical procedures and time off? Will we ever see the old Nefti heaving it 100mph?
Durrett: It's been an odd spring for Feliz. I was actually a bit encouraged that he got up to 94 mph last night, but that's not where he needs to be yet. The reports were really great on him in winter ball, but that Feliz hasn't been at spring training yet. At this point, he has not fully seized the closer spot. It's a position to watch.
