Major League Baseball announced that Double-A Frisco pitcher Martire Garcia has been given a 50-game suspension without pay for testing positive for Clomiphene.

This is Garcia's first violation of baseball's joint drug prevention and treatment program. The suspension, for taking a performance-enhancing substance, starts immediately.

Garcia had pitched in four innings this season, allowing no runs on two hits with two walks and six strikeouts.
