A benefit concert for the family of ESPNDallas.com reporter Richard Durrett has been scheduled for Sept. 8 at Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth, the Texas Rangers announced on Monday.

Tickets for the Do It for Durrett Benefit Concert will go on sale Friday.

Durrett, who primarily covered the Rangers for ESPN, died unexpectedly on June 17 at age 38. He is survived by his pregnant wife Kelly and their two children.

All proceeds from the benefit will go to the Richard Durrett Family Fund, which was established to support his family.

In addition to a concert, the event also features a silent and live auction featuring Dallas sports memorabilia.
