Feliz gets out of Ray's 8th-inning jam
When Chris Ray walked two batters in the eighth with the Rangers leading by four runs, it became a save situation.
So Ron Washington didn't hesitate to bring in his closer in need of four outs to save the game. Neftali Feliz needed two pitches to get Asdrubal Cabrera to fly out to center and end the eighth-inning threat. The Rangers led, 6-2, heading into the ninth.
UPDATE: Feliz walked a batter in the ninth but needed just 18 pitches to get the final four outs and earn his second save in two tries.
