Mound matchup: Feldman vs. Floyd

ARLINGTON -- The Rangers finish the series with the White Sox at 1:05 p.m. today as RHP Scott Feldman takes on RHP Gavin Floyd. A quick look at the matchups:
Feldman (1-2, 5.40 ERA): The club's Opening Day starter is hoping to regain his form after two struggling starts. Feldman is 0-2 with a 12.00 ERA (eight runs in six innings) in his last two starts, after going 1-0 with a 2.57 ERA in his first two outings. Feldman's last start was against Detroit and he gave up eight runs (four earned) in 3 2/3 innings. Feldman will be pitching on normal rest today. He is 1-1 with a 4.11 ERA in seven career appearances against the White Sox.
Floyd (0-2, 8.38 ERA): Floyd has also struggled recently, going 0-2 with a 10.80 ERA (16 earned runs in 13 1/3 innings) in his last three starts. Floyd gave up five runs in 6 1/3 innings against Seattle in his last outing with three walks and four strikeouts. He's 0-1 with a 9.35 ERA in two career starts against the Rangers, both at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. He walked seven in his last start against Texas on July 11, 2008.
Hitters: Michael Young is 2-for-4 off Floyd. But the White Sox righty has done a good job against Vladimir Guerrero (4-for-18) and Ryan Garko (2-for-10). Alex Rios is 4-for-10 off Feldman.
