Ray takes over for Lewis in sixth
The good news was that Colby Lewis only allowed three hits Sunday. The bad news is that one of them was a bases-loaded double and another was the home run by Jose Bautista that finished Lewis off with two outs in the sixth.
Chris Ray came in and finished the sixth inning. The Rangers have three innings to overcome a 5-1 deficit if they want to avoid being swept Toronto.
Bautista's homer came on Lewis' 111th pitch. Lewis' final line: 5 2/3 innings, three hits, five runs (all earned), five strikeouts and four walks.
He has 54 strikeouts for the season, which ties him for fourth in the AL with Boston's Jon Lester.
