Mark Prior makes debut for Oklahoma City
Former major league All-Star Mark Prior, whose career was derailed by two shoulder surgeries, pitched a scoreless inning Sunday in his debut for the Rangers' Triple-A team at Oklahoma City.
Prior allowed two hits and a walk while striking out two. He threw 28 pitches, 16 for strikes, in the fourth inning of the RedHawks' 9-1 loss to the Omaha Royals.
The Oklahoman website has a story about Prior's situation.
On Saturday, Oklahoma City clinched the PCL America South Division title. The RedHawks close the regular season Monday and open the playoffs Wednesday at Iowa or Memphis.
