Today's lineup: Rangers vs. Angels

By Jeff Caplan

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- With reloaded division rival Los Angeles Angels coming to town this afternoon, the Texas Rangers will get back to a more familiar lineup than the one that lost to the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday.

Former Angels catcher/first baseman Mike Napoli will get his first start behind the plate today. Manager Ron Washington said he wants Napoli out there to face his old team. Napoli was drafted by the Angels in 2000 and played for the big club the past five seasons.

A couple of lesser-known players will get an opportunity in the starting lineup today. Chad Tracy, a non-roster invitee, will be the designated hitter and bat eighth, and Jose Ruiz, another non-roster invitee, will start at first base and bat ninth.

Here's today's starting lineup:

SS Elvis Andrus
LF Josh Hamilton
RF Nelson Cruz
3B Michael Young
C Mike Napoli
LF David Murphy
DH Chad Tracy
1B Jose Ruiz
