Ogando exits with lead, Eppley debuts
By Art Garcia
ARLINGTON, Texas --Alexi Ogando's solid night is done after allowing a home run to Kila Ka'aihue to lead off the seventh, cutting the Rangers' lead to 3-1. Ogando leaves in position to improve to 3-0.
He threw 114 pitches (70 strikes) in six-plus innings, allowing five hits and one run, while striking out five, walking one and hitting a batter.
Ogando was relived by rookie righty Cody Eppley, who made his Major League debut. Ron Washington showed plenty of confidence in Eppley, who was called up earlier in the day from Triple-A Round Rock.
