Fans headed back to bowl, tarp coming off
By Richard Durrett
ARLINGTON, Texas -- The worst of the weather has left the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington area and fans are heading back to the seating bowl from the service tunnel.
The tarp is off the field, meaning we could have baseball resuming tonight. The White Sox lead the Rangers, 4-2, midway through the fourth inning.
Heavy rain and hail fell at the ballpark in the last 90 minutes. The game was stopped at 8:23 p.m. by the umpires, who were told a storm was approaching. There were lightning strikes around the the stadium at that time and the weather came in about 15 minutes later.
