All arms on deck for Game 7
By Jeff Caplan
ST. LOUIS -- Texas manager Ron Washington said every one of his pitchers except Game 6 starter Colby Lewis will be available for tonight's winner-take-all Game 7 against the St. Louis Cardinals at chilly Busch Stadium.
Coop and Nate weigh in on a wild Game 6 of the World Series and preview Game 7.
Matt Harrison will start and he could be relieved by fellow left-handed starters C.J. Wilson as well as Derek Holland, who threw two innings in the gut-punch Game 6 loss Thursday night.
After the game Washington said he would not hesitate to go back to closer Neftali Feliz tonight in a save situation and he reiterated that on Friday.
The only reliever that did not make an appearance in Game 6 was lefty Mike Gonzalez. Mike Adams, the hard-throwing righty, should be fresh after throwing just one inning. Mark Lowe pitched to one batter, giving up the game-winning homer to David Freese in the 11th.
The major question is Alexi Ogando, who walked the only two batters he faced, including one with the bases loaded upon replacing Lewis. Ogando, so dominant in the run to the AL pennant, has done a complete reversal in the World Series.
It will be interesting to see if Washington goes back to his lanky right-hander, an All-Star after his excellent first half as a starter.
