Week ahead: Debuts, first road trip
By Richard Durrett
ARLINGTON, Texas -- Each Monday morning, we'll give you a quick snapshot of the week for the Rangers to help you plan your baseball watching.
A few notes about this upcoming week:
* Obviously, the biggest event of the week happens tonight, when Yu Darvish makes his debut. We've already got a few stories on ESPN Dallas about that for you and we'll have updates throughout the day. Why not watch his start with us? An in-game chat is on the docket for the 7:05 p.m. start.
* It may not garner the same number of headlines, but I think Neftali Feliz's debut in the 2012 rotation is critical too. How well Feliz does as the No. 5 starter could determine how successful this staff is as a whole. He had some shoulder stiffness, but appears to be completely over that. How does the secondary stuff look? Can he pitch deep into the game? We'll get some answers starting Tuesday night.
* The Rangers' first road trip of the season starts this week, as well. They head to Minnesota for three games Friday through Sunday. Then, after 10 straight days of games to start the season, they'll get a day off in Boston before a couple with the Red Sox.
