Matchup: Scott Feldman vs. Chris Tillman

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Texas Rangers head into the second game of a 10-game homestand tonight against the Baltimore Orioles with right-hander Scott Feldman returning to the hill. He'll face fellow righty Chris Tillman. Here's a look:

Feldman (6-8, 4.63 ERA): After reeling off six wins in a row after losing his first six, Feldman has lost his last two starts. However, he didn't pitch badly and he is 6-2 with a 3.38 ERA in his last nine games -- covering eight starts -- to drop his ERA from 6.50. ... In Wednesday's loss at the Yankees, he took the 3-2 loss despite matching his season high with seven strikeouts over six innings. ... He leads the Rangers with four four wins since the start of July. ... One reason is he has walked one or fewer batters in 12 of 15 starts this season, including 10 straight. It's the third-longest streak in the majors this season and the second-longest single-season streak in club history.
Tillman (5-2, 3.65 ERA): Making only his fifth road start of the season, although he has fared quite well so far with a 3-1 record and 2.61 ERA. ... In two career starts against the Rangers, Tillman is 1-1 with a 3.38 ERA. ... He has 15 strikeouts in his last 17 2/3 innings, spanning three games, collecting five strikeouts in each game.
Hitters: The Rangers have batted .191 (9-for-47) against Tillman with one double and one home run. The homer belongs to Nelson Cruz. David Murphy has three of the Rangers' five strikeouts against the righty. ... Matt Weiters is hitting .375 against Feldman with three singles in eight at-bats. Nick Markakis has five hits, including three doubles for a .315 average against Feldman.
