Adrian Beltre's MRI on shoulder clean
By Richard Durrett
ARLINGTON, Texas -- An MRI revealed no structural damage to Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre’s left shoulder, the club announced Thursday. Beltre has inflammation and is not in the lineup against the Cleveland Indians but is listed as day-to-day.
Beltre wasn’t the only Ranger injured in Wednesday’s game. Josh Hamilton, who came out in the eighth inning with left knee soreness, received an injection after the game. He will probably be ready to return to the lineup Friday.
Mike Olt, who replaced Beltre in the fifth inning but was removed in the seventh after limping to first on an infield hit, had an MRI that confirmed plantar fasciitis in his right foot and he will see a foot specialist. Club officials say he’s out a minimum of 10 to 14 days.
