By Randy Jennings

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Because of field conditions deemed unplayable, Wednesday night's game between the Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks game at Rangers Ballpark has been postponed.

ESPN Insider and senior MLB analyst Jim Bowden joins Fitzsimmons & Durrett to discuss former Ranger Chris Davis' hot streak, Ian Kinsler's injury, Jurickson Profar's performance and some trade possibilities for the Rangers.

The game will be made up at a date to be determined. The final game of the brief two-game series is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. CT Thursday.

Texas manager Ron Washington and Arizona manager Kirk Gibson inspected the field before making the decision.

The infield took on an abundance of water during a downpour a little over an hour before the scheduled start time of 7:05 p.m. High winds made it difficult for the grounds crew to get the tarp on the infield.

The Rangers have announced that Wednesday's scheduled starting pitcher, Justin Grimm, will pitch Thursday. Former Ranger Brandon McCarthy was Arizona's scheduled starter.
