Pudge enters Rangers Hall of Fame
By Todd Wills
ARLINGTON, Texas -- Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez was inducted into the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame before Saturday night's game against the Baltimore Orioles.
Rodriguez was presented with a Hall of Fame plaque in a pregame ceremony. Other Rangers Hall of Fame members on hand were Nolan Ryan, Jim Sundberg, Rusty Greer and John Wetteland.
Sandy Johnson, the scout who signed Rodriguez as a 16-year-old in 1988, was also in attendance. Rodriguez broke into the big leagues as a 19-year-old and caught the future Baseball Hall of Famer Ryan in his second game.
Former owner Brad Corbett, who died last December, was also honored with his family attendance.
