Matchup: Alexi Ogando vs. Tommy Hanson

The Rangers go for a three-game series sweep against the Los Angeles Angels when Alexi Ogando faces Halos right-hander Tommy Hanson at 9:05 p.m. Wednesday night on Fox Sports Southwest and ESPN Dallas 103.3 FM and Deportes 1540 AM.

Ogando (4-3, 3.26): Ogando hasn't been at his best since returning from the 15-day disabled list because of right shoulder inflammation on July 23. He is 0-1 with a 4.61 ERA in three starts, going five innings or less in all three outings. ... Ogando has made just 14 starts because of two DL stints. ... He allowed three earned runs in four innings and took a no decision in a 8-3 victory over Oakland on Friday. Ogando threw 92 pitches, only 48 for strikes. He had a career-high five walks, three of which scored. ... Ogando is 3-0 with a 1.85 ERA in 21 games (four starts) against the Angels. ... He allowed two earned runs in seven innings and took a no decision in the Rangers' 5-4 loss in 11 innings to the Angels on April 23 in Anaheim.
Hanson (4-2, 5.29): Hanson, like Ogando, is trying to find his form in his fourth start since spending four weeks on the disabled list with a strained forearm. ... In his last two starts, he has allowed nine earned runs and 11 hits in 10 innings. ... He has allowed 10 home runs in 63 innings and opponents are batting .297 against him. ... Hanson gave up three runs in six innings in an 8-4 win over the Rangers on April 6, his only start against Texas.
Hitters: Catcher A.J. Pierzynski is 4-for-5 with two RBIs against Hanson. Mark Trumbo is 6-for-13 with three doubles and an RBI against Ogando.
