ARLINGTON, Texas -- Michael Young's power stroke continued in his first at-bat, as the Rangers got back that run Derek Holland gave up in the top of the first.

Young, batting third with Josh Hamilton getting the day off, took Mets starter and UT-Arlington product Dillon Gee deep to left center with two outs to knot the game at 1-1. It was the seventh home run of the season for Young, and ran his hitting streak to 12.

Young has homered in three straight games, matching the longest streak in his career. He's done that two other times -- September 2004 and July 2010. Young also has homers in four of the last five games.

The Rangers two-out rally was just getting started with Young. Adrian Beltre and Nelson Cruz followed with singles before Mitch Moreland lined another single to right-center to score Beltre. David Murphy walked to load the bases.

Taylor Teagarden nearly added to the total, ripping a smash that New York shortstop Jose Reyes fielded from his backside and flipped to second to end the inning.
