Texas Rangers: Rangers 40th Anniversary All-Time Team
First pitch for Saturday's Rangers-Tigers game, in which players will wear 1976 turn-back-the-clock uniforms, has been pushed back to 7:30 p.m. Members of the anniversary all-time team will be available for autographs from 5 to 5:45 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets are scarce for this weekend's three-game series against Detroit. Only singles, obstructed view, and standing-room tickets remain for Friday and Saturday, and about 2,400 reserved seats were left for Sunday's afternoon game as of Thursday afternoon.
|Rangers radio play-by-play man Steve Busby takes us through Yu Darvish start. Despite the early success, Busby says that if the playoffs started today, Colby Lewis would still be the Rangers' Game 1 starter.
Fans who fill out ballots will be entered for a chance at two tickets to the Dr Pepper Texas Rangers 40th Anniversary Weekend Luncheon. Five winners will be chosen.
According to a Rangers news release, the ballot was compiled by taking the club’s all-time leaders by games played at each position. The lists of pitchers were compiled by using the Rangers’ all-time leaders for wins, starts, appearances and saves. As a result, select players may be listed at more than one position.
Here is the ballot:
OUTFIELDERS (choose 3)
STARTING PITCHERS (choose 2)
RELIEF PITCHERS (choose 2)
