Jordan Woy, the agent for former Cowboys left tackle Flozell Adams, said his client is visiting the Steelers today.

The Steelers just lost right tackle Willie Colon for potentially the season with an Achilles injury.

Adams hasn't played right tackle since his rookie year, 1998, but he might move to the right side if needed in this case.

The Cowboys cut Adams to go younger at the left tackle position, giving it to Doug Free, who is 26. Adams is 35.

When veterans get released, there is a chance they don't get picked up right away, and that was the case with Adams. When someone gets hurt, another free agent player is looked at.

Adams played well last season, but he did give up a team-high eight sacks and committed 12 penalties, tops on the offensive line.

In the playoff loss to the Vikings, Adams was knocked out of that game with a strained right calf in the second quarter and didn't return. It was the last time Adams would play for the Cowboys. He was the longest tendured players on the team, drafted in the second round in 1998.
