Roy Williams did not practice due to a strained lower back and hip flexor. The ailments are not expected to sideline Williams for the Sept. 12 season opener. Most of the starters won't play the preseason finale anyway.
Coach Wade Phillips said he still hasn't determined whether Bryant, who had been sidelined since suffering a high ankle sprain July 30, will play in Thursday's preseason finale. Bryant has said he wants to get a feel for the game before the regular season, but Phillips intends to consult with the team's medical and athletic training staff after watching Bryant practice this week before making a decision.
"Let me see what he does in practice and we'll just go from there," Phillips said. "I would like to see him play with the first group if he were going to play, but overall, that wouldn't happen."
