Dirk deal to be made official this week

Monday is the earliest that the Mavericks can officially announce the re-signing of Dirk Nowitzki.

The Mavs haven’t been able the move official because Nowitzki has been fulfilling a sponsor obligation in Hamburg – Germany’s second-largest city – since leaving Dallas on Tuesday.

Nowitzki is expected to fax and mail in the signature page of his new four-year, $80 million deal early this week after returning to his hometown of Wurzburg.
