The past week

The Texas Stars went 2-0-0 over the past week, running their winning streak to three games. The Stars are 6-5-0 on the season and currently rank fourth in the AHL’s West Division.

The Stars defeated Toronto 4-3 in overtime Thursday night at Cedar Park Center. Francis Wathier scored 45 seconds into extra period to give Texas the win over the Marlies, who had scored in the final minute of regulation to tie the game. Scott Glennie and Colton Sceviour each had one goal and one assist in the game, and Tomas Vincour scored as well. Richard Bachman stopped 22 of 25 shots.

Sunday in San Antonio, Bachman stopped all 29 shots he faced for his second shutout of the season as the Stars beat the Rampage 4-0. Travis Morin, Wathier, Vincour and Luke Gazdic were the goal scorers.

Idaho Steelheads

The Steelheads won two of three over the past week and are now 3-7-0 on the season. Defenseman Hubert Labrie scored his first professional goal and picked up an assist as well in Idaho’s 4-3 overtime win over Las Vegas on Friday. Labrie has four points (one goal, three assists) in five games since being assigned to Idaho from Texas.
