About the Stars

The Stars (19-13-1) are coming off a 4-1 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers at American Airlines Center on Wednesday. The Flyers turned a 1-1 game into a 3-1 lead with a couple of power play goals.

“I thought they capitalized on their power plays and we didn’t capitalize on ours,” Stars coach Glen Gulutzan said. “At five-on-five, I thought the play was pretty even, but the specialty teams came into play and they beat us at that game for sure.”

Gulutzan said a decision hasn’t been made yet on whether Richard Bachman, who took the loss on Wednesday, or Andrew Raycroft would start in goal for Friday’s game.

Injuries: D Philip Larsen (charley horse) is questionable. D Stephane Robidas (foot), Tomas Vincour (knee) and G Kari Lehtonen (groin) are out.

About the Predators

The Predators (18-12-4) overcame a 4-1 deficit to defeat the Columbus Blue Jackets 6-5 in Nashville Thursday night. David Legwand tied the game with a power play goal with 3:46 remaining and Martin Erat scored the game-winner on a breakaway with 8.4 seconds left. Columbus built its 4-1 lead by scoring three times during a major penalty on Nashville’s Brian McGrattan in the first period.

“We started pretty well there and got a PP goal. They scored those goals on the PP, but we knew there was lots of time left and we could come back. That’s what we did,” said Predators defenseman Roman Josi.

The Predators are 6-1-0 in their last seven games.

Injuries: D Kevin Klein (flu) is questionable.
