DALLAS -- Loui Eriksson seems intent on being sure the Stars stay in this game with the Red Wings. He had Detroit worried enough as the puck got into the offensive zone and that helped free up Jamie Benn, who did the rest.

Benn grabbed the puck to the side of Jimmy Howard and then flipped it in for his 10th goal of the season. Alex Goligoski and Michael Ryder.

But the Stars' momentum didn't last long. A few minutes later, Cory Emmerton threw one at the net from the goal line, one that Kari Lehtonen normally stops, though the puck may have hit an official. But it went in to give the Wings a 4-2.
