The past week
The Texas Stars went 1-0-2 over the past week and are now 15-16-3 on the season. They are in fifth place in the West Division, three points out of fourth place.
The Stars opened the week with a 4-3 shootout loss at San Antonio. Colton Sceviour, Matt Fraser and Eric Godard scored in regulation for the Stars, but Sceviour, Fraser and Travis Morin all failed to connect in the shootout. San Antonio scored on all three of its shootout chances against Andrew Raycroft, who stopped 27 of 30 shots in regulation and overtime.
On Saturday, Raycroft stopped 25 of 27 shots as Texas beat Rockford 4-2 at Cedar Park Center. Brad Lukowich scored one goal and had two assists. Fraser, Ryan Garbutt and Francis Wathier also scored goals. Sceviour chipped in three assists.
The Stars lost 6-5 in overtime to Rockford at Cedar Park Center on Sunday. Rockford tied the game with 2:24 left in regulation and then won it 1:02 into overtime. Scott Glennie had two goals and one assist for the Stars. Fraser and Lukowich each had a goal and an assist and Sceviour and Morin each chipped in two assists. Tyler Beskorowany stopped 29 of 35 shots.

Notes: Fraser to AHL All-Star Classic
*Texas Stars forward Matt Fraser has been named to the Western Conference team for the AHL All-Star Classic, which will be played January 30 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
*Fraser, who has 10 goals in the last 14 games, now has 19 in 34 games this season. He’s tied for fourth in the AHL and is tied for second among rookies. His 9 power play goals are tied for second in the league.
*Forward Colton Sceviour has 10 points (3 goals, 7 assists) in the last seven games. Sceviour has 20 points (6 goals, 14 assists) in 34 games this season.
*F Ray Sawada, F Mathieu Tousignant and D Dan Spang have been out with injuries for Texas.

Idaho Steelheads: Boise to host Dallas Stars 2012 training camp
The Idaho Steelheads announced over the weekend that the Dallas Stars would open their 2012 training camp this coming September in Boise, Idaho. The Stars will also host an NHL exhibition game against the Minnesota Wild on September 25, 2012, in Boise.
The Steelheads went 0-2-0 this past week and are 15-16-3 on the season. They are fourth in the ECHL’s Mountain Division.
