The Dallas Stars are calling up defenseman Philip Larsen as the team returns from the NHL All-Star break.
He was assigned to Texas of the AHL during the break and played two games over the weekend.
Larsen, who played the final two games for Dallas prior to the break, has 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and a plus-7 rating in 21 NHL games this season. That plus-7 rating is second best among Dallas defensemen. The 22-year-old is averaging 17:10 of ice time.
Larsen will give the Stars a full 23-man roster, assuming Brenden Morrow comes off injured reserve. The Stars will have 13 forwards, 8 defensemen and the 2 goaltenders on the roster.
