DALLAS -- One benefit of Saturday's 4-0 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes is that the Stars got the day off.

The players can watch the Super Bowl and then come back Monday in Frisco for practice to prepare for what several of them called the biggest road trip of the season.

Dallas goes to Chicago on Tuesday, Calgary on Thursday and Phoenix on Saturday. After that, it's a two-week Olympic break. So getting points in those games is critical so that the Stars are in position to make a move in the busy month of March.

A few quick notes:

* Instead of wondering who might start Tuesday, Marty Turco has earned the assumption on our part unless otherwise told. That says something about his play the last three games.

* Mark Fistric missed Saturday's game with a lower-body injury. We'll see how he does in practice Monday.

* Mike Modano's knee didn't appear to impact his play on Saturday. He played 12:15 and played well, creating some chances and supporting well in the defensive zone.
