Morrow has strong first period for Canada

This sure is shaping up as a fun game between the U.S. and Canada. Team Canada leads in shots at 18-6, but is behind 2-1 at the end of the first period.

Brenden Morrow had the first really good shot on net and Ryan Miller made the stop early in the first period. But Morrow is going to the net and making his gritty plays. He even got some recognition on the broadcast for his play in the first period.

Morrow has had a slow start to the NHL season, but maybe these Olympic games are exactly what he needs to get going.
