Sean Gibbons, the manager of featherweight titlist Orlando Salido, told ESPN.com that Salido's July 28 return in his hometown of Ciudad Obregon, Mexico, will come in a nontitle bout at junior lightweight.
Salido (38-11-2, 26 KOs) will face Chile's Oscar Bravo (20-3, 9 KOs). Assuming that Salido, who knocked out Juan Manuel Lopez for the second time in their March rematch, defeats Bravo, he likely will move on to a fall defense against Miguel Angel "Mikey" Garcia. Garcia's mandatory fight against titlist Celestino Caballero, which was originally scheduled for July 28, probably will be called off.
