The new boxing magazine show "The Fight Game with Jim Lampley" will return for its second episode on Saturday night (HBO) at approximately midnight -- immediately following live coverage of the Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.-Andy Lee middleweight title bout at the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas.
Unlike the first edition, from last month, the second episode will air live from the Sun Bowl. In light of last week's Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley Jr. fiasco, scoring a fight will be the focus of the episode. Lampley will examine ringside judging, explore what happened at Pacquiao-Bradley and offer potential solutions. Guests include Nevada judge Duane Ford (whose 115-113 score for Bradley has been heavily scrutinized); Bradley's manager, Cameron Dunkin; and Top Rank president Todd duBoef, who promotes both Pacquiao and Bradley.
• Also on HBO on Saturday night, following "The Fight Game with Jim Lampley" (at approximate 12:30 a.m.), will be the debut of "2 Days: Nonito Donaire." The 15-minute show provides behind-the-scenes access to junior featherweight titlist Donaire, whom the HBO cameras followed for, well, two days.
In this episode, the cameras followed him for 48 hours ahead of his February fight with Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. Donaire will return July 7 (HBO) in a unification fight with South Africa's Jeffrey Mathebula at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. Past subjects of the show include Brandon Rios and James Kirkland.
