When cruiserweight titlist Marco Huck fractured his thumb last week and promoter Sauerland Event canceled the March 29 card in Berlin he was supposed to headline against challenger Mirko Larghetti it left heavyweight David Price, who was supposed to be on the undercard, in need of another show to fight on.

So Sauerland Event announced that it has moved Price’s eight-rounder against Ondrej Pala (32-4, 22 KOs) of the Czech Republic to its April 12 “Nordic Fight Night” show in Esbjerg, Denmark.

The 6-foot-8, 250-pound Price (16-2, 14 KOs), 30, a 2008 British Olympic bronze medalist and the 2012 ESPN.com prospect of the year, will be in the second fight of his comeback (under the tutelage of new trainer Tommy Brooks) after suffering back-to-back upset knockout losses to American Tony Thompson in 2013.

“This is exactly the type of fight I need,” Price said. “Pala is a guy who isn’t afraid to come forward and trade. I am looking forward to getting in there with him and exchanging blows. I’m in great shape and I am confident that I am going to get the job done.”

Sauerland also announced that middleweight contender Andy Lee (31-2, 22 KOs) of Ireland has been added to the card against an opponent to be named. Lee was looking for a fight after his April 26 title fight in New York against Gennady Golovkin was canceled. Golovkin pulled out of the HBO fight following the recent death of his father.

The main event pits Swedish light heavyweight Erik Skoglund (19-0, 10 KOs) in a regional title bout against Danilo D’Agata (12-1-1, 3 KOs) of Italy.
