ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- So, say you were sitting in first class Wednesday morning on a flight from Dallas to Denver, you would have been a reclined seat away from a big part of the Denver Broncos' free agency plan.

Cornerback Aqib Talib, who agreed to terms with the Broncos Tuesday night and signed his new six-year Wednesday morning at the Broncos’ complex, and defensive end DeMarcus Ware were on the same flight. Ware was scheduled to take a visit to the Broncos, but eventually agreed to terms and signed his deal without leaving the building.

"I heard something last night that (Ware) was visiting," Talib said. "I was on in first class of my flight and I just looked and it was DeMarcus Ware. He was going to Denver with me, so it hit me we might be together here ... I was like the first one on the plane and then I see [him] walking up the aisle and sit down. That's serious, right there."

Ware said he didn’t realize it was Talib until the flight had arrived in Denver and the two were walking together through the concourse at Denver International Airport.

"I came here for a visit to see what they had to say," Ware said. "But one of the more enticing things was looking back behind me and seeing Talib on the plane. But the crazy thing was I didn’t know who he was because I wasn’t thinking he was going to be on the plane. And so we were walking through the airport and he was saying 'man I got to get my clothes on, I’ve got a press conference,’ and I’m looking at him like and ... he said 'hey man I’m Talib,' and we were going back and forth. And I thought 'you know what, I see exactly what they’re doing,' it was good."

Talib, Ware and safety T.J. Ward were all signed as the Broncos opened free agency with a defensive flavor. All three were formally introduced at the team’s complex Wednesday afternoon.

Talib, with 23 career interceptions, and Ward were both named to their first Pro Bowl this past season. Ware brings a far more decorated resume to Denver to go with his 117 career sacks.

Ware is a seven-time Pro Bowl selection and a four-time first-team All Pro selection.
